First off, WOW. This piece is absolutely gorgeous! It really captivates the eye with the touch of color. More importantly I know it defiantly jumped out at me while looking through my notifications. So bravo <img src="e.deviantart.net/emoticons/s/s…" width="15" height="15" alt=":)" data-embed-type="emoticon" data-embed-id="391" title=":) (Smile)"/>

I gave 2 1/2 stars for vision because I'm not sure if you had a particular vision in mind when you made this besides trying out new markers. Though Id be pretty proud if this was the result myself ha.

Originality I gave 3 1/2 stars because many people have made lion pieces and still many more have made drawings black and white with a touch of color. Though it is still very much original and appeasing to the eye. It is not like other pieces and is very much it's own.

For technique and Impact I gave the full 5 stars because...this is amazing! The way you tampered off the edges of the mane makes them look whisky like real fur and the amount of detail put into the witness of the nose, the whiskers the light reflecting off of the moist eyes, is near perfection. The shading is also very nicely done as that it no way near appears to be faded out or blurred by provides a great deal of contrast to the backround. I also find your choice to make the eye red a very wise one. Not only does it draw ones attention to the keystone of the face (the eyes themselves), the colors of red and orange you used go very well with the grays. You could have easily made the eyes green or blue or purple but i believe going with bright warm colors was an excellent choice on your part. With cooler colors they might have not stood out quite so much and therefore have not created as much of an impact as it does.

So all in all magnificent work that came form just trying out some new markers! This piece really showcases an eye for fine details and creative ability. Keep up the great work!
