YCH for r-ior

AAAAH IT IS DONEE
You have no idea how many times I have re-done the background... First I wanted to make a snow landscape, with Aidan (the character) running through snow, ice and water. Re-did that about 4 times I think. Then I decided to try somethin' different, so I drew a forest in autum.

I really hope you don't mind! Also I am so incredibly sorry that I did not add (more) water!!!

I really
hope it's ok... I spent a on of time on it omg... I really overdid it, but.. ain't even mad c:
whoa my eyes hurt from staring at the screen... I think

AGAIN I really hope it's ok! If not I am so so sorry

Vision: I like the design of the wolf and especially the landscape it's simply breathtaking and feels very magical to me. I love the flames on the wolf as well as the necklace as I assume either has magic to lend to the wolf or is something he (assuming he) was given at some point in life so means something to him. Nicely done on vision.

Originality: Each artist is original because of how the energy is they put into their work and the way they draw their lines and if they add color of how they do this as well. I have seen several wolf images but this I have not come across one identical or closely similar to this piece. For me it is original because of the simple fact I have yet to come across another piece close to or identical in the way its style, placement, and use of flames. Very well done.

Technique: The level of detail is amazing in this piece it's simply breathtaking at how carefully done each piece of this is and shows the truly hard work and time put into making sure each part is just right in my opinion.

I want to go into the level of focus on the landscape. Oh my it's astonishing to me of ow beautifully the color's work together along with the highlighting and shading to show the time of day which seems to be either early dawn or late evening towards dusk. The green moss and grass with leaves is very well done and the red on the flowers and leaves with the trees is amazing. I love the embers coming up into the air giving it a feeling of fire all around.

The tree trunks are nicely detailed giving a rough feel to their trunks and a nice weaving of the branches in the background showing a thickness and deepness to the forest. I adore how the embers appear to be raining down from the treetops themselves. Very magical feeling I love it.

The shadows and reflections on the stream is nicely done. It feels very real in my opinion and I can visualize it and think over the sounds of a stream looking at it so wonderful water working. All the red leaves and plants are amazingly at how the shades of reds blend so well together along with the shades of greens tied in flawlessly with the shading and highlighting from the sun in the background.

Your landscaping work is I say again breathtaking and awe inspiring for the mind to think where this sort of forest could exist with how it came to be and what other creatures roam its open untouched land. Beautiful simply beautiful and excellently executed background.

Now with the wolf our main focal point. The wolf does stand out making it clear this is our main character and focal point. The colors are nicely done with wonderful shading in my opinion but I'm no expert on shading in the least. The flames are elegant and beautiful the way they are flowing and the way embers are coming off and around some of the fires. The glow of the eyes also adds to a mystic feel of the wolf.

The necklace up and out shows the movement of the body nicely showing it is bouncing off the chest of the beast during its hard and fast run. The texture of the fur is lovely and the illumination from the fire is beautiful on the paws, tails, chest, and back.

The red outline in places makes me wonder if the wolf is somewhat like a spirit or in the category of a spirit or somehow gifted with the ability over fire as it appears. The red outline touches are nice I think they add to the feeling of mystical presence as well as adding to the fact of the green glowing eyes. The ears look nice and very fluffy as well.

Only think over all on technique I could see for suggestion might be I thought by the snout it was a large fox also by the color choice but the body tells me wolf. Since it is another person's character I can't complain on their choice of character colors and body type and such but perhaps on another note a bit more illumination around the flames along the neck and on the back. I notice the fire around the paws and tail have illumination of a red/yellow hue but around the neck and back there is less almost none. It could be the angle but if it wouldn't detract from the magnificent wolf you have created or from the gorgeous scenery around then maybe a little bit of lighting from the fire reflecting off at least the white fur of the chest maybe but if it would not help but hurt then never mind.

My other thought is somehow the wolf seems in place but out of place. The scream is gorgeous, the plants and rocks all are beautifully placed and drawn but the wolf sounds out which is good as a main focal point but at the same time seems a little too out and maybe a little large for distance unless he is suppose to be in the air and leaping over the river. There's nothing wrong with it just was curious on it's proportion compared to that around it and the distance between the wolf and to the screen. Part of me wonders if it were a bit smaller or something I'm unsure how to explain.

It's a gorgeous picture and very beautiful and well executed but I can tell by the paws and legs the wolf is in mid run but can't figure out if on the ground or if is in the air in the starting of a jump over the stream.

Impact: The overall image has me thinking over is this forest holding magic in it or is the ember like dots coming up and or down a product of the wolf coming through. Also curious if the wolf is like a spirit of fire or a nature spirit of fire and this is what is causing the red hues and embers to happen due to how much power the beast has as it runs through. Sort of also wonder if the wolf is running away from something or someone or if is just running to be running. It's very thought bringing on background or if there is any information leading to this scene besides it a request by someone.

Overall: The artwork is gorgeous and simply breathtaking in the level of detail and beauty displayed here. There is also clearly displayed in my opinion a sense of magic and wonder with the embers floating up and down from the plants, embers floating around or off the wolf/around the wolf during his run and the flames radiating off his body and around his feet is amazing. The glowing green eyes adds to a sense this is no ordinary wolf and is either a wolf with magic, a spirit animal, or maybe even someone who was able to transform themselves into a wolf so they could escape an enemy hence the necklace around its neck.

Only thoughts on what might improve it unless it would make it less beautiful would be a bit of illumination at least on the white fur on the chest from the fire since it's illuminated around the paws and tail. Other thing was the size or something just feels off unless it's just how my eyes are viewing the wolfs position to try and figure out if its in the air in starting of the jump or if its on the land running to the stream to leap across or if is in over the land part with its run and is showing it before it lands to continue its run.

It's a gorgeous and beautiful picture and I enjoy it. Wonderful work and nicely done.
